Product Info & Ingredients
Vegan/Cruelty Free -- All of our products are vegan and cruelty free, always. We love animals, too! Our products are tested on humans. Usually those humans are willing. Sometimes they are coerced and/or bribed.
Perfume Oil Ingredients -- Our perfume oils are handcrafted using a proprietary blend of plant-based absolutes, essential oils, and fragrance accords in a base of organic, US grown rice bran oil. If stored in a cool, dark place, they should last indefinitely, although the scents may morph over time.
The Difference between Perfume Oils & Alcohol-based Perfumes -- Oil-based perfumes are not as drying to your skin as alcohol-based perfumes; in most cases, they have less throw than traditional alcohol-based perfumes, and will only be noticeable at conversational distance or closer. For this reason, many people prefer perfume oils for situations such as the workplace, when it is not appropriate to have a strong smelling perfume. Layering perfume oil with corresponding bath and body products will intensify the scent and make it longer lasting throughout the day.
Proper Use of Perfume Oils -- Perfume oils are not meant to be ingested or applied to your eyes, ears, nose, mouth or any other mucus membranes. They should be kept out of the reach of children and pets. Perfume oils are not for use on children under the age of 6.
Allergies/Sensitivity -- If you have sensitive skin or have had allergic-reactions to topically applied products in the past, please patch test on a small area before slathering yourself in our perfume oils or bath and body products. (We know it may be tempting…). Particular oils may be irritating to sensitive skin, so we try to note if they are included in a blend, but please double check with us if you are concerned about a particular ingredient. If you experience redness or other irritation after doing a patch test, please discontinue use. If you are being treated for a serious health issue, you may want to consult your doctor before introducing the topical application of any substance to your routine.
Some perfume ingredients may cause phototoxicity if applied before sun exposure. Please note any warnings about phototoxicity and do not use those fragrances on areas that will be exposed to direct sunlight.
Putting Perfume Oil on Fabric -- Darker oils may stain if applied directly to light-colored clothing -- please take appropriate precautions.
Payment & Orders
Forms of Payment -- We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and Paypal.
Combining Shipping -- If you have placed multiple orders and want to combine shipping, please email us with the order numbers, and we will do our best to accommodate you. We know how it is to complete an order and then realize you can’t live without just one more product…
Gift Orders -- If you would like to place a gift order, we will do everything we can to ensure that the gift you send from Poesie Perfume is the Best Gift of All Time and results in tears of joy. We'll be happy to include a note if you mention it during checkout.
Samples -- Are samples included in orders? Well, order and see! (But, yes we include samples in orders $10 and up.)
Shipping Times -- Please see the Shipping & Returns section for information about how long processing will take.
Shipping Costs -- We offer free domestic shipping via USPS First Class mail. International orders cost $9 - $14 dollars, based on what it pays to ship an order to your country.
International Shipping -- We offer international shipping to most countries. If you would like to place an order, and do not see shipping available from your country, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tracking Numbers and Lost Packages -- USPS is notorious for not updating tracking numbers as a package goes through the delivery process. If your tracking number has not updated, or your product has been marked “delivered” and you don’t have it in your eager little hands, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
Returns/Refunds -- For hygiene reasons, we are not able to accept returns on our products, but if you are not thrilled with your purchase, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We want you to be 100% happy with your Poesie experience.
Order Cancellation/Changes: We are happy to change or cancel your order if the production and/or packing process has not already started. Please contact us promptly at email@example.com if you need to cancel or change an order.
Lost/Damaged Orders: If your package has not arrived and you have a tracking number, please contact USPS as they will have the most up-to-date information and should be able to help you. If the estimated delivery date has passed and USPS is not able to help you, please let us know and we will work with you to figure things out.
If your package arrives damaged or contains products that were damaged in shipping, please keep all of the packaging materials; pictures of the damage may be helpful in filing a claim with USPS if that is necessary. Be in touch to let us know what is going on, and we will assist you!
Security - The security of your credit card information and personal information is very important to us. We will never sell or give away your information.
